Angel of Definition

Angel of Definition

5″ x  8″  Angel of Definition is an assemblage piece in my angel series. She is simply comprised of an antique pocket Webster’s Dictionary, glue, porcelain doll head, time and honor to the sources and inspiration. Can you tell that words are meaningful to me?

Thy Angelic Presence

Thy Angelic Presence

5″ x  5″  Thy Angelic Presence is an assemblage ornament. A simple collection of found objects, the angel is an example of altered art, where bits and pieces are pulled together into something new. With golden leaf wings, brass ball head, and and antique pin gathered onto a gold toned metal segment of an antique photo holder, this piece is wraps up my  little golden angel series.

Street Angel

Street Angel

3″ x  3″  By Heather Brush. This little angel ornament is an impromptu assemblage of bits I picked up on the street behind my new place of work. Just little pieces of rusty metal, they came together on their own; I simply solidified the gathering. She’s ready to hang.

I’m once again participating in Art Every Day Month, where the goal is to create and share one new piece of art for every day in November. I don’t know that I’ll be able to meet the goal every day, but the inspiration is helpful and the feedback from the group participants invaluable.
