Nestled

Nestled

SOLD!  5″ x 8″   Nestled is an assemblage in my bird series. The nest is created of rusty barbed wire, copper tubing, old landscape material staples and wire, and the metal grid off an old dartboard, with a few trinkets thrown in because even birds like a little flair now and then. The bird is made of a half of an antique metal coin bank, an old spoon, and a metal cup. The nest sits on a rusty hinge for easy hanging on a wall, but the piece also sits  on a shelf.

Assemblage art is a repurposing of materials, upcycling, altering of form and intent to create something new.
