Four and Twenty

Four and Twenty

7″ x 13″  Four and Twenty is an assemblage creation showing the nursery rhyme which features a not-too-happy king. Using a wooden box as the base, I created the pie and king to fill it. The pie is in an old copper plate and created of painted baked clay (and filled with blackbirds!). The king is created from bits of fiction (the best ones are) in paper mache form. His crown was found at a Goodwill, and is graced with yet another blackbird.
